SALGO FOOTDRUMPLUS
Salgo Footdrum is a small, lightweight and easily portable electronic footdrum (stompbox). It consists of a central controlling footpedal unit with 8 preprogrammed sounds which can be toggled with a switch on side of unit.
Salgo Footdrum is intended for solo musicians (guitarists, cayonists, singers etc.) and music groups to enable live, hands-free control of percussion and other musical sounds. It is a useful instrument in home studios, too. We know how much a drum beat or snare can liven up a live performance and that´s what drove us to create a good electronic footdrum.
Three versions of Salgo Footdrum (A, B, C) are offered, with three different series of sounds: 8 sounds in A and B of each and 7 in C. (The latter contains longer samples, so memory capacity allows 7 of them.) Desired version should be indicated in your order.

Setting up was no Problem. I find it good that the the Salgo Sensor Pedals are not touch Sensitive! The Korg Hitclip has touch sensitive clips and it is very difficult to find the right levels to hit the pads whilst concentrating on other things (Guitar/Singing/Harp).I reprogrammed the units yesterday to suit my needs. This was also very Straightforward once I had figured out that I had to load the sounds into the respective lists. The sounds themselves are quite good! I used a couple of others from my own Soundbank and that worked fine. I do about 120 Gigs per year. Some of them are outside where there is no Electricity or when I have to move around. Thats why I bought the Salgos. I like to have everything Compact and portable. The Salgo is just what I have been looking for!

WHY THE NAME „SALGO”?
Members of our team are people with long-year experiences in electronics, engineering, developing and manufacturing different devices, and some of them also in playing music. Majority of us studied in the same high-school in Budapest (Hungary) named „Salgo”. As it was the place where we obtained our basic knowledges in electronics and became good friends, name „Salgo” is a mark of respect to our one-time alma mater.
WHY TO CHOOSE SALGO FOOTDRUM?
Preprogrammed samples are true percussion sounds of high quality musical instruments recorded using condenser microphone in CD quality.
The foot pedal was designed to last and based on piezo sensor technology. This doesn´t contain mechanical switch, which makes it more reliable, durable and longer lasting. Pedal is not too sensitive and sensitivity cannot be adjusted, intentionally: if Salgo would be more sensitive, it would be sensitive to surrounding vibrations, too (e.g. moving, jumping etc. on a stage.)
Salgo Footdrum was designed to have low power consumption (2 mA). Connecting a battery holder 3 AA alkaline batteries allow an operating life of 200-400 hours before replacement required, so it is an ideal solution for street musicians, too.
The most important, unique feature, we are especially proud of, is that Salgo Footdrum produces audio with virtually zero latency period. This fact is illustrated on following picture (snapshot of an oscilloscope screen):

Lower curve (at vertical dotted line) shows moment of strike of foot. Upper curve (at vertical unbroken line) shows moment when sound appears on output of Salgo Footdrum.
Interval between them (∆T) is 600 microsecundum (0.6 millisec), that is shorter than one thousandth second!
Salgo Footdrum comes with accessories for fixing pedal: 4 pcs self-adhesive hook & loop discs on the underside of it. These discs prevent pedal from slipping during performance. When used up, they simply can be replaced. Such discs (or tapes) are available in many shops offered by several manufacturers (e.g. Velcro, 3M, Fastech, Tesa etc.). When sticking new self-adhesive discs should be held pressed for one minute.

By our customers´ request we restarted manufacturing Salgo Footdrumplus, electronic footdrum with two pedals.
All technical parameters of this product are the same as those of one-foot version. The only difference is that musician can use two series of 8 preprogrammed percussion sounds (8 for left and 8 for right foot).

If one or more of these sounds don´t satisfy your requirements, we are ready to change them before delivery at a price of € 3 of each. To do that you can send us your desired sound(s) (wave, 44.1 Kc, 16 bit, mono, 0.5 sec max.), indicating which one(s) should be changed from preprogrammed series. Or we send you a list (consisting of 120 percussion sounds of high quality selected by good musicians) to choose sounds suitable for you. All details of process can be cleared up by e-mail.
